Book an appointment with your public health nurse in Helsenorge’s app

Helsenorge’s app lets you book an appointment with your school’s public health nurse without your parents receiving any information about this. You can also find your local health centre for young people and your GP (family doctor).

If you are over 13 years old, you can log in to Helsenorge’s app and find your local health centre for young people and your GP’s contact information. Some people can also book appointments with public health nurses in Helsenorge’s app. Your school can tell you if you can book appointments with public health nurses in the app. You can log in with BankID or MinID.

To book an appointment with your school’s public health nurse, you need to find your school and add it in the app.

You can access more services with parental consent and BankID.

Helsenorge’s app is available for Android and Apple devices, and can be downloaded here:

What can you do in the app?

In the app, you can:

  • Find your local health centre for young people (HFU).
  • Check who your GP is and find their contact details.

If your school is in the app, you can also:

  • Book an appointment with the public health nurse at your school or a telephone appointment.
  • Cancel an appointment if it is at an inconvenient time.
  • Receive messages from your school’s public health nurse.

Your parents will not be told that you have booked an appointment with the nurse.

How do you get started with Helsenorge’s app?

You must accept the app’s terms of use when you log in for the first time. You do not need your parents’ permission for this.

You can use facial recognition, fingerprint or a personal code to log in to the app. You can set this up the first time you log in or you can do it later under settings. This speeds up logging in next time you use the app.

Access to other Helsenorge services

If you are 16 or older, you can access more services on Helsenorge. You must log in with BankID to access the services.

If you are aged 13-16, you can access more services with your parents’ consent. Read more about young people’s access with parental consent.

You do not need the app to get help

You do not have to use Helsenorge’s app to contact your school’s public health nurse or a health centre for young people. You can always just knock on the nurse’s door to ask for help.

Check your school's website to see when the nurse is available. You can also check your municipality's website for the opening hours and address of your local health centre for young people.
