Your municipality is responsible for ensuring that you are offered the vaccines that apply to you under the Adult Immunisation Programme. You can find information about where to get vaccinated on your municipality’s website.
It is the municipalities that determine how much you must pay for the vaccines offered in the Adult Immunisation Programme, but the Norwegian Directorate of Health has provided recommended prices. You can find information about vaccine prices in your municipality by visiting the municipal website or contacting your GP.
Prices may change from year to year.
You decide for yourself whether you want to receive the vaccines. Vaccination is voluntary in Norway.
It may take some time for your vaccination to appear on Helsenorge. If you think your vaccine has not been registered, you should contact the place where you received it and ask them to check the registration.
The aim is to make as many people as possible aware of the vaccines offered in the Adult Immunisation Programme. That is why reminders are sent to those who have not yet been vaccinated.
Reminders are sent from Helsenorge in mid-November, but only to unvaccinated individuals who meet the age requirements for the vaccines.
In autumn 2025, this applies to the following groups:
- COVID-19 vaccine: unvaccinated individuals aged 75 and over (reminders are not sent to everyone over 65, as the recommendation from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health applies from age 75)
- Influenza vaccine: unvaccinated individuals aged 65 and over
- Pneumococcal vaccine: unvaccinated individuals born in 1960
You must log in to Helsenorge to view the content of the reminder.
Reminders are automatically generated using information from the national vaccination register (SYSVAK) about missing vaccinations. No one has access to your personal information.
