Checklist for people travelling with a COVID-19 certificate
Does the country you are travelling to require a COVID-19 certificate?
Check Re-open EU or the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Reiseklar app.

If you do not need a COVID-19 certificate, there is no need for you to follow the rest of this checklist. Have a good trip!
Find your COVID-19 certificate
You can find your certificate by logging into Helsenorge or using the Helsenorge app on a mobile device.
You can easily access the app using Face ID or fingerprint each time you need to access your certificate.
Remember to click on “Refresh control page” after logging into the app to get the latest version of your COVID-19 certificate.
Check that the information on your COVID-19 certificate is correct
Click on the COVID-19 certificate after logging in.
You will now be able to see the information registered for you relating to vaccinations, test results and COVID-19 infections.
The “Show control page” button will show your QR codes only.

Check the validity of your COVID-19 certificate
There are different rules relating to the issuing of certificates and country-specific rules for entry with a certificate.
An explanation of what constitutes a valid certificate and how long a COVID-19 certificate is valid for can be found here. You should check what applies to you.
Are you over the age of 18?
Your COVID-19 certificate will not expire as long as you have had your booster vaccination.
Your COVID-19 certificate will be valid for 270 days if you have had
- two doses of the vaccination or
- you have been infected with COVID-19 and had one dose of the vaccination.
Your COVID-19 certificate will be valid for 180 days after a positive COVID-19 test at a test centre (not applicable to home tests).

Are you under the age of 18?
Your COVID-19 certificate will not expire if you have received two doses of the vaccination or if you have tested positive for COVID-19 and had one dose of the vaccination.

Turning 16 years of age?
Your parents or guardians will no longer have access to your COVID-19 certificate.
You should make sure that you have access to your COVID-19 certificate via Helsenorge in good time before travelling. You also need to make sure that you have electronic ID in order to log in.

Do you have children under the age of 16?
You will find your children’s COVID-19 certificates by accessing their profile at Helsenorge.
If you are a parent or guardian of children under the age of 16, you will be able to access their COVID-19 certificates. The child’s health information is also available here.

Print a copy of the COVID-19 certificate before travelling
This can be a good idea in case your mobile device runs out of battery or in case of unforeseen circumstances.
No mobile device?
You can request a paper copy of your COVID-19 certificate.
Remember that COVID-19 certificates have a technical validity period of only 90 days, so make sure that you request a new copy of the certificate if it has been a while since you last received one.
