The Childhood Immunisation Programme
All children and adolescents who have permanent or temporary residence in Norway are offered vaccines through the childhood immunisation programme. The vaccines offered provide protection against twelve different diseases, all of which can be life-threatening or cause serious complications.
The vaccines included in the Childhood Immunisation Programme are:
- Vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio
- Vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, Hib infection and hepatitis B
- Vaccine against HPV (Human papillomavirus)
- Vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR vaccine)
- Vaccine against pneumococcal disease
- Vaccine against rotavirus
- Vaccine against tuberculosis (BCG)
