Vaccinations

Here, you will find information about the diseases you have been vaccinated against and when you received the vaccine. If you have children under the age of 16, you will also be able to view their vaccinations.

About the service

In the vaccination service, you can:

  • See an overview of all vaccinations that have been registered under your name in the Norwegian Immunisation Register (SYSVAK), for which the Norwegian Institute of Public Health is responsible.
  • Print out a vaccination card in Norwegian (Bokmål) and English.

More about the service

  • In order to use this service on behalf of someone you do not have custody of, they must grant you power of attorney for service area number 3: Digital healthcare services.

  • You can use this service on behalf of a child under 16 you have custody of, but only if at least one parent is registered in the National Population Register at the same address as the child:

    • If one or more of the parents are registered at the same address as the child, both parents will be able to represent the child.
    • If neither parent is registered at the same address as the child, neither of them will be able to represent the child.

    From 16 years of age

    When a child for whom you have parental responsibility turns 16 years of age, you will no longer have access to their health data. In order to gain access, the young person can either log in to Helsenorge or give you power of attorney.

  • Children between the ages of 13 and 16 can access this service with parental consent. Read more about youth access with parental consent.

  • Because the age of majority under health law in Norway is 16 years, parents do not have access to children’s vaccination status after their 16th birthday. Buypass ID is available to children from the age of 13. If you have such ID and you are older than 16 years of age, you can check your vaccinations by logging in to the vaccination service on Helsenorge.

    If you are between the ages of 16 and 18 years and do not have Buypass ID, you can request a vaccination card directly from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

    The processing time for vaccination cards from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health is 30 days, but they are normally issued one to two days after ordering.

  • Unlisted address is often referred to as «confidential address» or «blocked address».

    This service is available to people with an unlisted address.

    If this service contains information from another service that is not accessible to you because of the confidential address, you will also not be able to see this information here.

    If you live at a confidential address, you will not be able to represent others at Helsenorge, nor will others be able to act on your behalf.
