Appointments

You can view GP appointments, hospital appointments, health centre appointments and appointments with the municipal health and social care services here. You can also book an appointment with your GP or an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine here if the service is offered by your GP or local authority.

At the moment, not all health services and municipals offer the Appointments service at Helsenorge. 

How appointments work

  • If your GP or local authority offers appointment bookings via Helsenorge, you can book an appointment

    • with your GP
    • for the COVID-19 vaccine

    You can also cancel appointments or view previous appointments with your GP and the municipal health service.

    If your local authority does not offer appointment bookings via Helsenorge, please check the local authority website to see how you can book an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine in your area.

  • Currently, the overview includes appointments

    • at hospitals in the Western Norway Regional Health Authority and Central Norway Regional Health Authority
    • at certain wards at hospitals in the Northern Norway Regional Health Authority
    • with your GP, if your GP uses Helsenorge

    If offered by your local authority, you can also see an overview of appointments

    • at the health centre/midwifery services
    • for COVID-19 vaccines
    • for visits from the home care services

More about the service

  • In order to use this service on behalf of someone you do not have custody of, they must grant you power of attorney for service area number 3: Digital healthcare services.

  • You can use the service on behalf of children under 12 years of age for whom you have parental responsibility, but only if at least one of the parents are registered in the Norwegian National Population Register with the same address as the child:

    • If one or more of the parents are registered at the same address as the child, both parents will be able to represent the child.
    • If neither parent is registered at the same address as the child, neither of them will be able to represent the child.

  • You can use the service on behalf of children between 12 and 16 years of age and for whom you have parental responsibility, but there are some limitations:

    You will be able to view their appointments with the GP and municipal health and social care service, but not appointments with the specialist health service.

  • Unlisted address is often referred to as «confidential address» or «blocked address».

    This service is available to people with an unlisted address.

    If this service contains information from another service that is not accessible to you because of the confidential address, you will also not be able to see this information here.

    If you live at a confidential address, you will not be able to represent others at Helsenorge, nor will others be able to act on your behalf.
