About Appointments

Here, you can find information about which appointments you can see and who you can make or cancel an appointment with.

Appointments on Helsenorge

On Helsenorge, you can view, book, and cancel appointments with your GP, municipality services, and hospitals.

The appointments you see in the list, and who you are able to book with, depend on whether your hospital, GP, or municipality offers this service through Helsenorge.

Appointments with your GP

If your GP offers the service, you can book an appointment with them via Helsenorge. You can also cancel appointments and view the appointments you have already had.

Appointments with your municipality

If the service is offered by your municipality, you can see an overview of your appointments

  • with the health centre/midwifery services
  • for visits from the home care services
  • at health centres for adolescents
  • for vaccinations

Hospital appointments

You can view the appointments which you have at hospitals.  

In the case of some appointments, you can also

  • ask questions about the appointment 
  • ask to reschedule
  • ask to end the course of treatment
  • change the time in the calendar
  • ask to change the appointment to a video/phone appointment, or vice versa

Appointments with the Central Norway Regional Health Authority are administered on Helsa Mi.

How to use the Appointments service

You will always receive a notification from Helsenorge when a new appointment is made for you, or if your appointment is rescheduled or cancelled.

Some appointments can be changed or cancelled. Click on your appointment to see the details of your appointment and what options you have to change or cancel it. 

More about the service

  • In order to use this service on behalf of someone you do not have custody of, they must grant you power of attorney for service area number 3: Digital healthcare services.

  • You can use the service on behalf of children under 12 years of age for whom you have parental responsibility, but only if at least one of the parents are registered in the Norwegian National Population Register with the same address as the child:

    • If one or more of the parents are registered at the same address as the child, both parents will be able to represent the child.
    • If neither parent is registered at the same address as the child, neither of them will be able to represent the child.

  • You can use the service on behalf of children between 12 and 16 years of age and for whom you have parental responsibility, but there are some limitations:

    You will be able to view their appointments with the GP and municipal health and social care service, but not appointments with the specialist health service.

  • Unlisted address is often referred to as «confidential address» or «blocked address».

    This service is available to people with an unlisted address.

    If this service contains information from another service that is not accessible to you because of the confidential address, you will also not be able to see this information here.

    If you live at a confidential address, you will not be able to represent others at Helsenorge, nor will others be able to act on your behalf.
