Consent to use services on Helsenorge
In order to use Helsenorge services that require you to log in, you first need to consent to Helsenorge:
- collecting health data relating to you from external registers and other sources
- compiling and processing the data, as well as creating lists based on the data, which can be displayed to you via the services
- storing data for as long as necessary for you to use the services
- allowing external parties to contact you
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
Data that is stored about you will only be stored for as long as is necessary for you to use the services. If you withdraw your consent, all data relating to you will be deleted with the exception of data relating to consent and opting out.
If you consent, Helsenorge will retrieve data relating to you from the Norwegian National Population Register, the Agency for Public Management and eGovernment’s Contact and Opt-out Register and the GP Register.
You can choose from the following three options:
- Basic:This is the minimum you need to consent to in order to use logged-in services on helsenorge.no. This consent gives you access to your own data, with the exception of patient records. This consent also gives you access to other services that involve such access.
- Basic+:This is the same as Basic, but you will also be able to use services that access your patient records.
- Full access: This gives you full access to all services on Helsenorge.
Basic
With this option, you will be able to view data registered about you in the health and social care sector and to request correction and erasure of some data.
This means that you will have access to:
- view information about your GP
- view the status of your exemption card and user fees
- view your test results
- view data registered about you in the health register service, such as prescriptions, summary care record (Kjernejournal) and vaccinations. You will not have access to these services via Helsenorge, but you will be able to view your data in the health registers.
- view information about any research projects you are participating in.
- change GP and register for the waiting list of a GP who does not have any space available
- apply for a European Health Insurance Card
- request correction of errors in the registers
- manage your profile settings
- obtain an overview of your consent and opt-outs
Basic+
This option gives you the same access as Basic, as well as access to view patient records from hospitals that have been made digitally available by healthcare professionals.
With this option, you will be able to view data registered about you in the health and social care sector and to request correction and erasure of some data.
This means that you will have access to:
- view information about your GP
- view the status of your exemption card and user fees
- view data registered about you in the health register service, such as prescriptions, summary care record (Kjernejournal) and vaccinations. You will not have access to these services via Helsenorge, but you will be able to view your data in the health registers.
- view information about any research projects you are participating in.
- change GP and register for the waiting list of a GP who does not have any space available
- request correction of errors in the registers
- manage your profile settings
- obtain an overview of your consent and opt-outs
- view your test results
- view your patient records and entries made by healthcare professionals
- request correction of errors in your patient records
Full
Full access gives you access to use all Helsenorge services. This means everything included in Basic and Basic+, as well as viewing information about e.g. appointments and test results and receiving letters, forms and similar for completion.
This means that you will have access to:
- view information about your GP
- view the status of your exemption card and user fees
- view data registered about you in the health register service, such as prescriptions, summary care record(Kjernejournal) and vaccinations. You will not have access to these services via Helsenorge, but you will be able to view your data in the health registers.
- view information about any research projects you are participating in
- change GP and register for the waiting list of a GP who does not have any space available
- request correction of errors in the registers
- manage your profile settings
- obtain an overview of your consent and opt-outs
- view your test results
- view your patient records and entries made by healthcare professionals
- request correction of errors in your patient records
- request repeat prescriptions
- book and manage appointments
- communicate with your treatment providers and other healthcare contacts
- register data in your summary care record (Kjernejournal)
- use new services that are directly linked to prevention, treatment or monitoring of your health
- obtain an overview of your referrals
- obtain an overview of healthcare contacts
- access online courses or videos to help you manage your health and life situation
